Chen-Yu Wang is an interdisciplinary designer, artist and factory girl from Taiwan, currently working in The Netherlands. She completed MA in Social Design from Design Academy Eindhoven in 2022. Her projects explore reflections on personal experiences, embodying current political and industrial systems with eyes and belonging. Wang’s work draws on the unconsciousness in both the East and West society, considering multiple perspectives on conflicting situations that emerge under capitalism today. She expresses through the medium of textiles, sculptures, installations, performances and spaces to share perspectives. The act of making becomes a therapeutic tool for revisiting imprinted discomfort and to create a new reality.
